Biography

Dr. Maslen started his professional career in civil engineering and building construction management after graduating from the Catholic University of America in 1982. He worked on numerous projects in the Washington DC metropolitan area before attending the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1997 with multiple academic honors including AOA. He remained at the University of Maryland for residency and was awarded the outstanding senior resident award.

In 2000, Dr. Maslen joined an established practice in Greenbelt, MD and upon his mentor’s retirement, the practice has once again used the solo physician practice model. He believes that this environment maximizes patient-physician relationship development and quality of care. He also has an active practice at a highly rated assisted living and nursing home facility.

Dr. Maslen has received consistently high patient ratings on online sites, such as Healthgrades.com and Vitals.com and has been listed in Checkbook Magazine as a top physician on multiple occasions.
